General Terms & Conditions
All due care is given to ensuring that all product information shown on our website is accurate and up-to-date. We rely on our suppliers to provide us with accurate product information and cannot be held responsible for inaccurate information supplied by them. Where inaccuracies are drawn to our attention, we will endeavour to update the product information on our website in a timely manner. Please check the relevant product information prior to ordering.
We reserve the right to modify or withdraw items from our product range at any time and without prior notification. Décor et Tissu does not give any warranty as to the suitability of purposes of the goods it sells. Prior to ordering goods, you should ensure that any product supplied by us is fit for the purpose for which you intend to use it.
Minimum orders for individual fabrics and wallpapers are listed on the product pages and vary by Supplier.
Some Suppliers charge small order fees and where applicable, are stated on the product pages. The fees will be added to your order and shown on your invoice.
Fabric samples may be sent out on loan for up to 7 days, but remain the property of Décor et Tissu. You will be invoiced for them and given a refund upon their safe return. If samples are lost or damaged in any way whilst out on loan to you or a third party, we reserve the right to keep the payment in order to purchase a replacement.
Retail prices are quoted in New Zealand Dollars and are inclusive of GST at the prevailing rate. Trade prices are also quoted in New Zealand Dollars but are exclusive of GST. Prices may be subject to currency changes and therefore the current price is quoted at the time of order. The cost of delivery will be added to the total of each order and shown on your invoice.
Décor et Tissu will place orders upon receipt of payment. Payment for fabrics and wallpapers must be via bank to bank transfer. Homeware items can be paid for in-store via cash, Eftpos or credit card. Homewares that need to be sent to customers can be paid via bank transfer.
You will also be responsible for shipping costs, which will be added to your invoice. Where the actual amount differs from the price estimated on your invoice, you will be uncharged the difference as these costs are outside the control of Décor et Tissu.
Ordering Process – Fabrics and Wallpapers
Please ensure you provide the correct delivery details to us. Your order will become binding when we have received it in writing and have confirmed it by return email. Please also note that fabrics and wallpapers can vary in colour between batches due to the artisanal nature of the products. If any of the products you have ordered are unavailable or can no longer be manufactured by the Supplier, we will cancel your order and refund your payment in full.
Please ensure you or your specialist tradesperson (such as a wallpaper hanger, upholsterer or curtain maker) have the experience and knowledge to understand the correct amount of fabric or wallpaper to order for your project, keeping in mind the design repeat. You may require additional metres in order to ensure the panels/drops are aligned. All fabric and wallpapers are manufactured to order and we cannot be responsible for short orders.
Cancellation of Order
The fabrics and wallpapers supplied by Décor et Tissu are made to order by our Suppliers and therefore you are unable to cancel your order once your order has been placed with our Supplier. Other items, such as furniture, are ordered specifically for you and cannot be cancelled once we have placed your order with our Suppliers.
Fabrics and wallpapers generally take four to five weeks to manufacture and deliver to New Zealand, but in some instances, may take longer. If there is a delay in printing, we will contact you as soon as we are advised by the Supplier. If a homewares item is out of stock and must be sourced from overseas, we will contact you as soon as we have been advised by the Supplier. We do not accept responsibility for delays outside of our control. Local orders can be collected from our showroom in Auckland. Alternatively, local and national orders will be delivered to your nominated business or residential address. Should you not be available to accept your delivery, you may incur extra fees if the freight forwarder is required to redeliver.
Acceptance of Delivery
Where goods have been sent out by courier, it is important that you ensure you inspect your delivery for any damage. Claims for damage in transit must be made within 72 hours and describe what damage has occurred. The delivery receipt from the courier should be included with your claim. It is your responsibility to ensure any delivery you have arranged to be delivered to a third party has been received to your satisfaction. We cannot accept claims where incorrect order information has been supplied to us or not verified by you. Please check all items upon receipt and report any damage or short deliveries in writing to us within the timeframes stated above) to: email@example.com.
Fabrics & Wallpapers
Variations in colour and texture may occur in fabrics and wallpapers within a single batch. These products are considered custom orders as they are manufactured to order and cut specifically for your order request. Once you have placed an order for fabric or wallpaper, you are not able to cancel it for any reason, including that it is not fit for purpose, you have changed your mind, you have ordered the wrong colour or the incorrect quantity. Please check your requirements carefully before ordering and contact us if you have any questions before placing your order.
Please check all goods upon receipt and contact us within 72 hours of receipt if you have any queries about the delivery you have received. If an incorrect order has been received or if the item is of substandard quality, we will either replace it with the correct item or refund you in full. We must receive and inspect the returned order prior to arrange a replacement or refund.

Colour – Fabrics & Wallpapers
As already noted, the fabrics and wallpapers we sell are of an artisanal nature and due to the natural fabrics and fibres used, colour variations do occur within and across batches. We encourage you to come into our showroom to view the products or order a small sample.
These textiles are 100% preshrunk cotton, made entirely by hand using India’s traditional kalamkari process. Due to the hand-crafted nature of the products, exact repeat or pattern alignment cannot be guaranteed and slight imperfections will exist. Smudges and spots are often present, and because natural dyes are used, slight bleeding of colour made occur, as well as fading. Dye lots can have major variations and will not match from order to order; therefore, customers must order a sufficient quantity of fabric to complete a job.
We recommend you use a professional wallpaper installer to hang your wallpaper. We cannot be held responsible for errors resulting from installation.

Please ensure you have checked the suitability of the product before ordering. Usage details are provided on each product page. Fabrics made of natural fibres can fade and should therefore be kept out of direct sunlight.

You warrant that the personal information which you provide to us when you register as a customer is true, accurate and complete and that you will contact us to update us of changes to your personal information. You will also not impersonate any other person or entity, or use a false name when accessing this website.
You agree fully to indemnify, defend and hold us, our officers, directors, employees, agents and suppliers, harmless immediately on demand, from and against all claims, liability, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of any breach of these terms and conditions by you, your use of any products purchased by you, or any other liabilities arising out of your use of this website or the use by any other person accessing the website using your account and/or your personal information.
