Heather Chadduck Hillegas is an interior decorator, textile designer, and photo stylist. Her work has been widely published in national magazines, books, and catalogs for more than 20 years. Heather’s current projects include lake houses in Arkansas and North Carolina, an historic 1800s home in Delaware, a farmhouse in Connecticut, a luxury yacht in the Bahamas, the 2019 Southern Living Idea House, and several commissions in her current hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. She lives with her husband, travel and lifestyle photographer David Hillegas, in a newly renovated 1920s clapboard colonial that was featured in the October 2018 issue of House Beautiful.
Heather studied fine arts at the Sorbonne in Paris, where she developed an eye for mixing antiques, pattern, and color. Before launching her own design business, she inspired millions of readers through her editorial work at Cottage Living and Coastal Living, and most recently as the Style Director of Southern Living.
Her botanical-inspired fabrics are now available to trade and retail customers in New Zealand exclusively through Décor et Tissu.
